Xie Zi Fa is no longer a secret

According to my very reliable source in Taiwan, Xie Zi Fa is a term coined by GM Zeng Zi Nan after he met Professor Li Le Qiu supposedly in the 50's or 60's. Prof Li, who was teaching in a university, was the one guarding this "powerful secret system" at Taiwan then. Both of them became friends and in order to get hold of the sacred system, GM Zeng offered to exhange his San Yuan Di Li Feng Shui method for it.

In the 60's, topics on fengshui remained mysterious and at that point in time, not many people would know what is 8 Mansions, Flying Stars, Da Gua, Qi Men and etc. GM Zeng, who was also known to be a shrewd business person, actively promoted and publicised on some of the systems that he was using. And one of them was Xie Zi Fa. Nevertheless, if you have the opportunities to read some of his books, which I have read many of his, he had never described a single thing on what is Xie Zi Fa all about.

Alot of people then start to associate with Chou Yao Huan Xiang or claimed that it is an extension of Xuan Kong Da Gua. I think it is not incorrect to think in that manner because I see that his application of Xie Zi Fa did incorporate and use in tandem with Da Gua. However, Xie Zi Fa is a system by itself. It talks about a situation when mountain can become water, water can become mountain. Yin can be yang and yang can be yin. In the picture that I have inserted here, the words Xie Zi is to be read as "Ci Er Zi". Zi means child. That has also led me into thinking that it might have certain association with "Reverse and Forward Child" formation. Again, this is my assumption on his application. And I need to stress again that Xie Zi Fa theory is, from what I have discoverd in Taiwan, something that can be independently applied.

Also to my surprise, it is something that I realised I have already known but it is named differently. You too could have already known. It was a sacred art in the 60's but in 21st century, it has become a passe.

I have decided not to reveal what it is all about as it will be a shattered dream to some of us. It is not easy to accept reality.

San Yuan Qi Men Date Selection - a Waiting Game

If you want the best result, you got to wait - sometimes as long as a few months.

After a good Xuan Kong Da Gua date is selected in relation to the house sitting hexagram and the occupant's hexagram, san yuan qi men date practitioner like us usually go on to calculate that for the particular hour, to make sure the Qi (mystical heavenly stem) and Men (8 doors) are present at the specific hexagram position so that we get the result we want.

This shopping mall is in Taiwan Kao Hsiung and it is one of the biggest malls in town. It is designed to look like a blue whale. When I was there shopping, I saw that the mall was quite packed with shoppers and to me, it looks quite successful as compared to the other many malls that I have gone to.

We can attribute this to the good fengshui job but without a proper date selected to inaugurate the operation of the mall, things may not turn out that well.

In fengshui, especially for burial, it is imperative that the practitioner chooses a rainy day if the burial site resembles sea animal shapes like prawn or fish. On the other hand, if the auspicious site selected has the formation of a bird or crane, then it is very crucial that before the burial job is carried out, gusts of wind surround the place.

A meticulously calculated San Yuan Qi Men timing was used during the opening ceremony. The master had beforehand, instruct the mall manager to build tentages as heavy downpour would occur during the time. The manager felt a bit puzzled as for the past few days, there was no rain and the weather was sunny throughout. Any how, the manager still proceeded to carry out the master's instruction.

At that day before the opening ceremony, the sky was still blue and sunny. Strangely, just moments before the specific hour, the sky suddenly turned gloomy and when the ribbon was about to cut, it rained.

The whale is alive.

So, how do we know which day and hour it is going to be a rainy day?

This involves some technical knowledge which I will share in my future postings on San Yuan Qi Men Dun Jia Date Selection.

A Niche Market

Fully air-conditioned. Lavishly decorated and carpeted. Smart access system. These are the features that I would, hitherto, never associate it with a columbarium. I did not know death can be so comfortable and extravagant.

I was introduced to the various suites during the tour led by the sales director who has invited me to this place known as the Nirvana, located at Singapore's old Chua Chu Kang Road. I thought I was in a 5-star hotel.

Each suite requires a card to access. Scan your ID, punch in a few numbers, you will see a little red light appearing on one of the niches. You walk over to it, gently press on the glass panel, it opens up to a space where urn(s) can be snuggled into it.

You can either purchase the niche for your own consumption or some people actually invested in them and later on sell it to their friends or relatives - much like a property transaction.

While it may take many years holding on to the niche space until the day arrives, some decided to leverage on it to change their own luck through the method known as life burial. The person (still alive) would clip his/her nails, cut the hair, draw some blood and together with other intimate items, placed them into the urn. With a very auspicious timing, the urn is then positioned in one of the niches that has the good fengshui which matches with the bazi. How do you know which niche space has been used for life burial? You can either ask the sales person or just look for those with the word "寿" or longevity pasted on it.

One of the key criteria for a niche space to enjoy good fengshui is to have a good Ming Tang or circulating space in front of it. Other factors that I will consider is the direction and how the niche is going to tap into the incoming or exiting water. In this enclosed hi-tech building, there is obviously no gutter surrounding it. What you look out for is the entrance to the suite. You can use San He Water Method or Xuan Kong Da Gua Feng Shui to select. Different means to the same end.

By the way, the more expensive niche space is usually at the eye level, especially if it directly faces the buddha.

How to Feng Shui your BTO flat

.

BTO or Build-to-Order is an unique public housing scheme launched by the Housing Development Board (HDB) of Singapore. Couples who are excited to own their first HDB house will apply for the scheme and be given a queue number to see the officer to select the unit they want. Once they are decided, they will place the deposit and wait for 2 to 3 years for their new HDB flat to be ready.

When the demand or application for certain launches meets a certain minimum number, the HDB will then ask the builder to commence construction. Up to this stage, the selection of dream home is based merely on brochures, estate plan and unit floor plan with facing direction on the corner of the page. This selection process is very much like buying a condominium from a new development.

For BTO, a favourably used acronym, can create unintended consequences between couple. Stress over which unit to choose, panic-attack suffered by the couple when their preferred units got taken up, quarrels over which facing to select are just some of the common sights.

Of late, I have been receiving many requests from friends and clients to help them choose a BTO flat with the best fengshui followed by 2nd best and 3rd best and etc. Is there a way to fengshui a virtual BTO flat since the construction work has yet to start? And if there is, how do I do it?

You see, we fengshui practitioners must rely on the luo pan or chinese compass to help us take the exact degree from the physical unit so that we can plot out the energy distribution of the house to see if the fengshui is good. Unfortunately, for houses that are not physically there yet, we can only rely on the floor plan's compass to help us extrapolate.

The good news is that, based on my past experiences, the facing direction indicated in the plan does not vary alot from the unit when it is built. I must compliment the authority for adhering closely to the plan.

In this regard, when my clients come to see me to shortlist a few units for them, I would check the plans and superimpose my 24-mountains stencil to get the sitting and facing directions. With that I would use flying stars and Purple-White system (a great tool for this purpose!) to chart out the fengshui of the house. The following are my guiding principles to determine which units have better fengshui:

1. On a macro level, check if there is any pond or pool (usually for condo). If there is, check whether does it comply to Ling Shen position. If it complies, it is very good for money making opportunities.

2. Shape of the unit. A regular shape with no missing corners are of course preferred. Triangular rooms and huge chunk of missing sector is a no-no. Toilet or bombsehlter in the middle of the house is a taboo. However, you realise that nowadays the HDB architects are quite radical in their design and it is quite difficult to get a squarish house. So, just make sure that the missing sector does not correspond to your existing health issue. For instance, if you have gastric problem, do not choose a unit with missing southwest.

3. I will zoom into what energy is residing at the main door, stove and master bedroom. For those that have read my previous posting, certain energies at the main door can cause serious health issue. Stove located at wrong sector in kitchen may hamper the plan of couple who wants to make babies.

4. On a more detailed level, we try to match couple's Gua number to the house to make sure the bedroom energy can support them. I will also check what business or occupation they are in to make sure the house can support their endeavours.

5. If your queue number for the BTO is quite in the front, then it would also be easier for me to tell you which level to choose. Different floor, different qi.

6. I would also want to find out which sector your main door is located so as to see if that level energies can support the door. (Method 5 and 6 are based on Purple White system)

7. Last but not least, give me a call before you go for your appointment with HDB to tell me which of the shortlisted flats have been taken up. In case you are left with only 2 units that are not the top choices, I can still help you decide on the best one. This is reality.

NB: Colour scheme has nothing got to do with feng shui and hence do not be too concerned about the painting of the flat.

4th Run of Bazi Workshop - Some controversial topics

Thanks to the support of blog fans, clients and fengshui/bazi enthusiasts, I am organising the 2-Day bazi workshop again which objective is to teach participants how to do practical bazi reading and offer practical solutions to their friends and clients.

We must acknowledge the fact that there are many school of thoughts in the study of bazi and in this class, we will try to make sense out of some these theories. For instance:

- Rich people are not always strong Daymaster. False?

- When does a chart becomes a follower and when it is not

- Under what situation do you consider a combination that remains a combination and does not transform. What does it imply in real life?

- Yin+Hai and Si+Shen = separation or combination?

- Daymaster born in earth month. How do you know it is really earth month and not born in season. For example, a Fire daymaster born in Chen month.

- Can Useful God be not in your bazi?

- Fan Yin Fu Yin must be sad event?

- Yi wood daymaster is certainly cunning? Then what is the role of Ten Gods for?

- Does earthly branches carry more weights than Heavenly Stems? Then why do most of the important classics like Qiong Tong Bao Jian and Di Tian Sui talk about stems if it is not important?

- Can my bazi turn from weak to strong because of the Luck Cycle?

- No wealth star in bazi and yet millionaire.

- Strong wealth star and yet went bankrupt. [Arbitration Useful God is missing]
