Fly your stars into your Car License Plate

Before the closing of 2008, i would like to share with you a fun divination technique whereby it can help you to read what is going on for your friend simply by flying the stars into his or her car number plate. But the catch here is that you need to know the characteristic of the 9 stars and the 81 combo. This posting is meant for flying stars fanatics. Maybe if someone can sponsor me, I will develop a software...

I must stress that this is not those topics that usual fengshui classes will teach and it is also not really a found-in-textbook method. The concept here is borrowed from the classical Purple-White Script - the backbone of xuan kong flying stars.

I have been hearing about this many years ago which is popularised in HK and finally I got to know how the master did it. I also learned about using your mobile number to derive hexagrams for fortune telling. Kinda fun and can be a good ice breaker or topics for Chinese New Year gathering. Hey, you can use this is to chat a girl up too :P

To illustrate, if your car plate number is 9999, you will expect good money and windfall in 2009.

If it is 2323 or 2233 or 3223, then in 2009, please becareful of food poisoning and miscarriage especially if the car owner is a lady.

How did I do it? See the steps below:

1. In 2009, star 9 is in central palace which in this case you take it as the first palace.
2. After you fly the stars, star 1 will be in Northwest and this is palace number 2; star 2 will be in palace number 3 (West) and so on so forth. You need to know the Luo Shu flight path to get the sequence.
3. If your license plate number is 2323, the flying stars combo will be 1212 because 1 flies to palace number 2 and 2 flies to palace number 3.
4. You can ignore 0.

The method here is known as replacement star - just for info especially for those who are serious in flying star and like to go deeper into Purple-White Classic.

One more example, if you and your wife's car is 4411, then I would like to congratulate you if you are planning for a baby in 2009.

I hope you can have fun with it but please drive carefully and not get too carried away when you are on the road especially when your car is 6363.

Plum Blossom "Trigger" Technique

Do you always have to toss the coins or poker cards to carry out a divination?

Do you also need to calculate the trigram or gua based on the time of happening of an event to predict an outcome?

Not really. As long as you are strong in your bazi and fengshui fundamentals, you can make use of your surrounding to help you analyse a situation or do a divination.

I will borrow another case from Master Lam.

One fine day, the master was lunching with his students. One of them then asked the master, "What happened to me this month?"

The master then replied: "You have been blackmailed by a lady who claims that she is carrying your baby. But this is not true."

The student was surprised how did his master know this.

The master then briefly explained: "I was born in the year of pig and you monkey. Monkey and Pig is a harm formation. Hence my answer."

I am not able to get the full explanation by the master as I only have up till this much of information given to me.

But I would like to put myself in the situation as if I am the master. By the way, divination in this way is very fluid, very flexible, very abstract (and cannot be rigid) but there is a guided way of doing it. However, there needs to be a question being asked and you divinate within that split second based on your observation. In chinese, it is known as Chu Ji or loosely translated as Trigger. This is an art. Master Lam in HK is very famous for this.

Ok, back to my own interpretation. First of all, the gua images involved are monkey (metal)and pig (water). Monkey is found in SW, it is Kun gua, it is lady. So, lady is involved here. We can apply the same to Pig. Next, metal produces water. It is the output element of a lady and hence baby is involved.

Why is it not true that the lady is pregnant? Because of Kun and Qian. Old yin and old yang cannot conceive at all.

To top it off, the relationship between pig and monkey based on bazi concept is a harm.

Based on the above, it was concluded that the whole event was a scam.

If you asked me was the student emotional? My answer to you that he was affected.

Why? Because it is a metal and water harm. 金水多情。

So, if next time your client asked you what happened to him and you see the company name "Lotus on Water", you can tell him he is having fun outside but becareful if he is married.....

Salute : Leslie Cheung

1 April 2003.

I was watching the TV after a gym workout. Then suddenly came the news that Leslie, my favourite Cantonese Pop idol, jumped from a hotel at 24 storey.

My heart plummeted to the ground. I was not sure if I was supposed to cry at that point in time; I was speechless and my mind went blank.

I grew up listening to his songs; they have given me so much fond memories and so much solace...

Listening to 梦里蓝天 recently on the radio reminds me of this Superstar.

The reason for his suicide is still unknown until today although there were many versions of rumours. Some masters claimed that his thinking was contaminated, he was psychologically ill and very depressed. Some said that he had HIV and some said that he was possessed after acting in his last movie.

I decide to share a bit of my analysis. The source of his bazi that I have here is said to be from a Feng Shui Master in HK whom Leslie had consulted before his death. I am not trying to do a reverse engineering job here because I do not want to bore you. So many people have done that giving rise to so many scenarios.






I will just go straight to the point on what I think are the causes for his suicidal act. I may not be 100% correct but I just want to discuss it on an academic basis. I really welcome your views, if any.

He is a weak water person and hence resource star, metal element, is his useful god. If not, he would not have had a meteoric rise in his singing career when he entered Geng-zi luck pillar. I can recall that that was the year, 1984, when "Monica" became one of the most popular songs in HK radio stations.

Fast forward to 2002, Ren-wu year.

The annual pillar has a fu yin with his bazi day pillar. As mentioned in my previous post, a fu yin usually indicates a sad event. Lets look at what stars and palace are affected in the fu yin.

I will analyse in parts first.

- friend or self star is affected
- wealth star is affected
- spouse palace is affected (everyone knows he has a long-time boyfriend
- Wu fire to Ren is "Extinct" in terms of 12 Growth phases. This is a star of despair, no-cure, separation, merciless and ending.

If I piece them up, my version of story for his suicide will be:

He was emotionally affected in 2002 because of a serious relationship issue with his boyfriend. I see that his jealousy and possessiveness have led to this. Because wu fire sees wu fire is a self punishment, Leslie also did something to himself that he knew it was silly to do but yet did it due to a lack in self-control and out of spite.

There was a 3rd party, in fact, I think there were 4 parties - quite messy. Ren and Ren forms a pair and Wu-Wu is also a pair. The more obvious one to the public is Leslie's as Ren reveals on top.

Was there still love between Leslie and boyfriend afterall? Yes, there was since Ren has a natural combo with Wu fire - heaven combines with earth.

Was the dispute over money too since wealth elements are involved? Isn't this obvious? Maybe not to public because the wealth elements are in the branches.

Was his jump the hotel an accident or a conspiracy? I will not eliminate this because the Chou earth in annual pillar harms Wu fire in luck pillar.

Personally, I think he should not have died. By nature, he is not a pessimistic person. He should have walked out the depression which is only temporarily. Once he passed the year, he will get well and continue with his prospering career. This will last him till old age looking at the Luck Pillars.

Committing suicide is an easy option. But did he choose that? Or someone chooses it for him?

Note: He died in 2003 but I was using 2002 annual pillar to analyse. Isn't it inaccurate? Not really because that was the trigger and effectively Leslie's death was still under the influence of Ren Wu pillar. The qi of Gui Wei annual pillar was only activated towards end of 2003.

So how is his boyfriend doing now? Can we tell from Leslie's chart? I will do that in my next posting.

Predictive Flying Stars

Do you need bazi to predict events? Is bazi really indispensable when comes to feng shui? I am not going to give you the answer. I leave it to you to think and tell me.

I will borrow an example from HK Master Lam's book to illustrate.

Please see picture. This is an office. (Period 6, facing Xin direction)

The secretary is seated in south with reference to her boss' cubicle.

When Master Lam went to the office in 1994, he bumped into the secretary and told her the following:

1. her boyfiend changed job in the same year.
2. her brother has a newborn baby boy.
3. she is getting married in 1995.

And she looked at Master Lam in shock. How the hell he know?

The method here is that he used the flying star chart to extrapolate. Since the secretary is sitting in south, he looked at the stars in South palace to read the events. He then used the star 8 as the gua of the secretary and analysed it based on bazi concept.

In 1994, the annual star 1 flew to South.

1. Boyfriend is the element that controls 8 - star 3 wood. When 1 comes, it means resource star coming to grow the wood. This usually represents a change in job or boss or get a promotion.

2. Similarly, brother is also earth element. Wood represents the son (ten god concept). So star 1 grows wood, implying the officer star of brother is very strong. Hence the baby. Brother will also change job or get promoted.

3. In 1995, star 9 flies to South - where she sits. 9 represents happy event. Since she is not married, you can deduce that she will get married. If she is married, then I think the stork will arrive. Or, she can get married and pregnant on the same year.

If you like divinative and predictive feng shui, start to read up on bazi...oh ya plus the 9 stars attributes too.

So, is bazi knowledge important?

If you ask me, I think that basic knowledge on ten god and 5 elements relationship should suffice.

Some Very Serious Questions on Flying Stars by Me

If you live in a condominium, do you and your neighbours all enjoy the same flying stars (assuming you guys have the same facing, same move-in date and occupied by same gua number people)?

In 2008, why did your direct neighbour at 12th floor strike lottery whereas you at 13th floor fell sick and spent alot of money (assuming everything else the same)?

Gossip : Master KY and his plant

My friend emailed me last week, asking me how to activate her place so that she can cash in on her condominium within the shortest possible time. She has so many viewers but everyone seemed to be dissatisfied after they toured the place.

She later shared with me that she has consulted Master KY, a very famous local master who has always splurged on full page advertisement in the newspaper, on this and he just told her to put a potted plant somewhere in the centre of the house.

Finding it a bit illogical, she asked me the rationale and fengshui principle.

Frankly, I also scratched my head. Did my masters forget to teach me a secret technique? Hmm, maybe the plant is special? Hey, I cannot figure out leh.

Anyway, I have just selected a date for her to activate her house next Thursday. What method do I use? Unorthodox method...haha...but it has got to do with gua image and the stable stars.

Roller Coaster

I am referring to my emotion.

Just like a roller coaster ride that brings me up to heaven and then throws me down into abyss.

In the morning about 9 plus, I received a call. A good friend of mine told me that her wife is 6-week pregnant - just as what I have told the couple last year when they consulted me for bazi and fengshui consult. You see, there is a movement in his chart's child palace in 2008. Plus, his main door opens in Xun sector and this year, Ms Purple flies in there.

With such obvious tell-tale signs, any fengshui consultant will also know what to expect in the house. I feel so happy for them.

But now, because I have told them that the wife will have difficulty in her delivery, they have approached me to help them to overcome this issue. Not easy task, but I have to do my best to ensure baby grows well in the womb. What fengshui method do I use? Ok, I can only reveal that it will be focusing on "Womb" formula - in fengshui sense.

While I was having my dinner, I received another call from my aunt. It was a heart-broken one. She told me the doctor has diagnosed and found that my uncle has colon cancer. The operation will be in 2-day time. After the op, he may not be able to pass motion from his anus, which means, the faeces will then have to be excreted from the stomach through a hole; and this will be for the rest of his life!

Frankly, my heart really sank like the titanic after I hear this. I can empathise with how he feels.

I asked for his bazi. I saw his chart - fan yin and fu yin all activated. Plus the unsightful presence of chou, wei and zi. To top it off, Useful god also got clashed. I am just lost... really very affected and I really hope my fear will not come true.

Why the fear? Because next year, the earthly branch is a graveyard.

Arrrrggggghhhh, the more I think, the more anxious I get. Damn.

With this, I just want to pray to god that the doctor will be skillful enough so that my uncle can still maintain a normal lifestyle and recover speedily from it.

Flying star says Obama will win?

I was reading a forum. Yawning all the way until I saw a posting.

Master J in his annual prediction for 2008 said that one can use flying star to predict who will emerge as the president of USA.

He suggested that we look at Qian or NW palace since it represents leader.

Then we see what star flies to that palace in 2008.

For your info, star 2 flies there.

In the study of Xuan Kong, Star 2 represents earth, mother, sickness, black, gloomy, ox and etc.

Hey, I saw the word black. Yes, he is born in the year of Ox. Is the whole thing here suggesting that Obama is the one?

What I heard is that most people are saying that McCain stands a greater chance.

Lets watch.

US or Heaven Decides?

Besides assessing their bazi, I also make reference to the bazi of the day of preseidential election which is on 4 November 2008. On the day itself, the water qi is relatively strong. Water is actually favourable to both of them although it is the useful god for Obama. In addition, Zi water is also the nobleman star for Obama if you can recall the mantra for locating it. This year is Wu-Zi year. Hey, although on surface you can see that Obama's competitior is very strong and aggressive due to the revelation of Wu earth on heavenly stem, the saving grace here is that there is someone, which is not really obvious to the public, is lending him strength.

I would classify Obama's chart as one up against McCain. Why? The number of favourable elements in the latter's chart revealing up there is not as many as the former's. It is not that I am going back to bazi elementary class where you count number of favourable stars but I am basing it on a chinese classic known as Shen Feng Tong Kao.

In my previous posting, I mentioned the importance of Officer stars in a person's chart if he wants to be a good and respectable leader. Both of them have the officer star intimately located next to them. Not only that, the star also has a natural combination with the Day Master. If you go deeper, you can tell the type of leadership quality that each will exude from the result of this combo. Jia-ji combo and Wu-gui combo are different.

The crux of the whole assessment in this instance lies in the quality of the officer star. This will also help them in drumming up their popularity votes from the citizens. The secret here is that: Obama's officer star is positive vis-a-vis his counterpart.

In conclusion, I would say Obama has a better luck than McCain in this election. Nevertheless, I would suggest that McCain goes into business if he does not emerge as the winner as he is really more cut-out to be a shrewd business person.

Pictorial Bazi - Geng Shen

Besides being a solid yang metal pillar, it also represents road. In some context, it is also a white tiger star, which is an inauspicious sign that tells you that mishap is imminent.

The interpretation is taken from the ancient classic known as Yu Zhao Ding Zhen Jing. This book is useful for divinative purpose too.

You asked me a question during consult. And if I see yin wood clashing into shen metal, I will tell you to be careful of car accident.

If you plan to go for trekking overseas and I see si fire punishing the shen metal, you better buy travel insurance because the journey is long and unsafe.

Leader: Made or born?

I attended a Global Leadership and Mentoring Congress in August at Ritz Carlton Hotel. CEOs and founders of public listed companies were invited to share their leadership experiences.

All the top management have their own definition of what made a good leader and blah blah blah. When Mr YY Wong, Chairman of the Wy Wy Group, was speaking on the subject that leaders are made and not borne, alot of thoughts floated in my mind.

He mentioned that Warren Bennis, a guru in leadership studies, has said that it is a dangerous myth to say that leader is borne. If you subscribe to the notion that only some "blessed" ones can become leader, you are making an assumption that DNA exists -not quite right for someone whose faith is at odd with this.

Personally, being a practitioner and researcher of Bazi study, I hold my firm view that one must carry certain elements in him to become a great leader. May I remind you that it does not mean that one does not need to go through training and development as long as he has the DNA. Mr Ho Kwon Ping, Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree, Chairman of Mediacorp and SMU said that leadership quality needs to be "pushed" out from oneself. I agree.

Human beings are not homogeneous. We are made up of different molecular structures. We are borne on different days, time and location.

If you think that everyone can become a leader one day, why did some remain as followers of leader? Why did one become a leader later than his counterpart? Why only a select few are groomed to become the leader? What is the differentiating factor?

Why some people can never become leaders no matter how hard they work? During the session, Banyan Tree co-founder, Ms Claire Chiang, mentioned a chinese phrase which I thought is crucial in the making of a great leader that people respect - 天时地利人和.

What makes a great leader? I think some of the basic attributes are to have certain level of IQ, analytical power, far-sightedness, courage and the list goes on. I discover that the leaders who presented during the congress have something in common - articulate and the ability to capture your attention. They are really charismatic people. If not, how to get your buy-in?

Back to Bazi.

So, if you are to come to me one day and ask me to help you to pick a date (for C-section birth) to design a baby that you hope will become a leader one day, I will need to ensure the presence of certain stars in the baby's destiny chart. I will tell you here what are the must-have's, the good-to-have's and the should-not-have's.

First and foremost, I believe a leader must be courageous, brave but not foolhardy. A very important star that we would want to see in the bazi will be Officer or 7 Killing (官杀）or collectively known as Authority star. Its location, its strength and whether it exudes the desirable attributes that we want are something we should consider.

I would want this star to be revealed in the heavenly stem; and not goes into the graveyard - in bazi sense.

Hey, there are different types of leader right? You can have the diplomatic type like Bill Clinton; otherwise, you can choose to be the authoritative type like many Army Generals. There are those non-conformist types and martyrs and noble leaders like Jesus Christ.

All these depends on what bazi structure the person has. Favourable output elements coupled with good authority will make you a personable, humorous and respectable leader.

Overwhelming authority stars which are negative in the chart with no Resource or Output elements are people that are likely to be very impulsive and aggressive. They can be ruthless and very extreme in their leadership.

But are they bad leaders? It is a matter of perspective.

Pictorial Bazi - Mr Sun and Little Cloud

Over a consult with a lady friend, she told me that my prediction for her last year has come true. I remember telling her that she will be having uninvited "fatal attraction" towards the end of the year and it is likely to be her boss.

She was asking me why her life was constantly plaqued with men who want to get close to her despite the fact that she is married with a kid.

Lets take a look at her bazi.

She is a yang metal lady. On the heavenly stems, you can see that she is intimately surrounded by yang fire or metaphorically speaking, the Sun. If you express this in terms of Ten God, the yang fire in relation to her bazi also symbolises her 7-Killing, which normally represents one's superior, boyfriend, authority, courage and etc.

She had asked for my advice on how to distant herself from the "hot" Suns as they have been shining unrelentlessly on her and their "heat" has taken quite a toll on her emotional life. While she enjoys good and close relationship with male bosses, she does not want to end up in a situation that they are too close for comfort.

While I was pondering over the solution, the image of a Cloud suddenly floated pass my mind. Yes, isn't the cloud supposed to reduce the intensity of the heat given out by the Sun? Isn't it supposed to also block the Sun and hence shield us from the harmful UV ray when the Sun is getting a bit too energetic?

Ok, where can I locate the Cloud in her bazi, hmm. Yes, I got it. It is located in the hour branch represented by the element Zi water. If you look at what is inside Zi water, you will see the hidden heavenly stem, Gui(癸). Gui is yin water. Pictorially, Gui water is represented by moist, dew, rain and cloud. In Ten God, Gui is her output element, her children, her communication skill, thinking and etc.

So, I told her to use her kid as the "Sunblock". Excuse me for the pun but Gui water born in autumn is strong in the chart. This implies that this bazi cure will be effective and its strength will overcome the Sun's.

It works! She happily feedback. She told me a few times, she had almost "gone with the dark force". One of the Suns, which was one of her directors, was such a smooth operator that has swept her off her feet. Luckily, while the Sun was crossing the "Thin Red Line", the daughter called. So, remembering what I have told her, she pulled the rein. Phew...

From then on, they have maintained arm's length relationship.

I decide to write this after I learnt about the news on Dr Ong Chit Chung. He is a Member of Parliament and has shocked everyone because of his sudden passing on Monday (14 July 08).

Newspaper reported that he dies at 59. But in chinese age, he just turned 60.

I am sensitive to this number because it reminds me of this face reading mantra in cantonese that says: 法令不过口，不过五十九。 If one's laughter lines do not pass the mouth when he or she is near age 59, he will not live pass it.

Laughter lines start from side of nose and flow down towards your chin. The lines are more prominent and should be prominent when one enters their 40s. This gives rise to respectable social status and authority that one can command. If laughter lines flow and touch the chin, it represents longevity - can live pass age 80.

Ladies, please think twice before you want to go for Botox to get rid of it.

On the other hand, one should not see the lines flow pass their mouth when they are in their 20s or 30s. Otherwise, it implies hardship and need to slog alot to earn a living.

I did not meet Dr Ong before. But if you check out his picture, his laughter lines look quite short.



Besides, when I check his bazi, this year the annual pillar is clashing into his day pillar. A rat-horse direct clash or 子午冲. Such clash usually indicates heart attack. His fire element is pretty weak in his chart as he was born in winter season.

This lady (see below), Ms Grace Fu, who is our Minister of State, has prominent laughter lines. You can also check out chief justice or president.

HDB Flats predispose you to Health Issues

I was having a bazi consult with my client yesterday about her family issues and she was telling me if she is to become Minister of Public Housing one day, the first thing on her agenda is to relook into the design of our HDB flats. She says she is going to factor in fengshui in the township planning and the layout design of the houses.

We observed that while our country's level of affluence has risen over the years, Singaporeans' health report cards seem to be getting less pinky. More than 80% of our population stays in an HDB flat.

I agree totally.

Instantaneously, I propose to her: "No missing sectors in the house please. Basic rule no. 1, we want to score the 4-Point Gold."

4-Point Gold refers to a house having regular shape like a squarish or rectangular footprint with no missing corners.

Based on the innumerable house visits and fengshui audits that I have carried out on HDB flats and condominiums, missing sector usually indicates a health issue.

I will share with you some basic and simple tips so that you can DIY (Do It Yourself).

You see, if you know the representations of Ba Gua (8 Trigrams), you are able to associate their attributes with some of the issues at home if you got missing sector.

You are likely to be predisposed to the health issues below-mentioned if you have missing:

South sector - cardiovascular, eyes, blood disease
North sector - kidney, bladder, urinary tract, ears
East sector - liver, limbs, feet
West sector - respiratory related ailments like asthma, lung disease, mouth
Northeast sector - nose, gastric, backbone, osteoporosis, bone spurs
Northwest sector - nerves, head
Southeast sector - buttock, hip, thigh, wind
Southwest sector - spleen, abdomen

For example, if you have a couple and their 5-year old daughter living in a flat that has northeast sector missing, and when you visit their house, you will find that the little girl is suffering from spinal, hand, sinus and gastric problem.

If you go to house that has northwest sector missing, you will find that the father of the house is always not at home and he is also suffering from compressed nerve problem.

Therefore, the moral of the story is, if you already know that you are suffering from kidney problem, then please do not choose a house that has a missing north sector unless you have another kidney elsewhere on standby.

She shot to stardom in 2002.

Gained recognition as an upcoming actress in the long running (125-episode) 2003 drama, Holland V.

Currently managed by Artiste Networks and MediaCorp, she is seen as one of the few potential successors for the respected title of "Ah Jie" (big-sister).

Her meteoric rise was evident in her reception of the Best Newcomer Award in 2002, and Best Actress nominations in the 2003 and 2004 Star Awards for her roles in Holland V and A Child's Hope 2 respectively.

Hmm, let's see what went wrong from the perspective of bazi.

According to Wikipedia, Jeanette was born on 28 June 1979. Although there is no official info on her hour of birth, I would deduce (based on her career path) that she was born in the rabbit hour.

She is a strong fire day master. With no resource star protrudes, her favourable elements are metal, earth and water. She is now going through her favourable Officer and wealth luck pillar. This implies that she is making money through her reputation.

Back in 2002, the annual pillar was 壬午. Officer revealed on heavenly stem. Got famous and entered showbiz. Although on the surface things look good, the self punishment on the month branch and the destruction on hour branch indicate that there was undercurrent between her and then employer. Due to her own action, self-centeredness and strong-headedness, there was a break-up and unhappiness on her career.

2003 was ok for her. Nevertheless, during 2004 (甲申) and 2005（乙酉), I would say that things are not exactly that rosy for her. This is because the negative resource stars revealed. This is a sign that her comfort level is affected. This also means that petty people surrounding her surfaced and wanted to pin her down. She probably also felt demoralised as there was not much recognition. For Mediacorp management, they would have had an issue with her attitude and ill-discipline for this 2 years too. This is from the management's point of view, which Jeanette may not concur.

In 2004, there could be a break-up with her loved one if she was attached. 2005 was probably worse. Her career (probably income from advertisement endorsement) was affected due to backstabbing or politiking - can be due to bad publicity. Fortunately, the challenges can be overcome. I must say that she is really blessed to have gone on to win the popular artiste award in 2004 and 2005 despite the situation. In bazi language, what I see is that the impact of the negative wood elements were mitigated due to the earth and geng metal in her natal chart that "locked" the wood elements in the respective year. This means that she would have made use of her talent, communication skill and hardworking-ness to prove other people wrong.

In 2006 丙戌, the whole chart was almost "on fire". It is a year of bad health and also very intense competition faced. The saving grace was the 辛 metal at her hour stem that tried to combine the 丙 into water element, which translates to fame and recognition. In real life situation, it means that Jeanette would have spent alot of money during the Star Award to up her reputation. Well, she should have made thousands of telephone calls to vote for herself to be in the top 10. Anyway, effort paid off.

The problem here is that in 2007 丁亥,the fire went straight to counter her positive wealth star at her career palace. Plus, the resource star of 3-combo at her earthly branches have made her very complacent. As a result, she did not win the award.

Moving forward, 2008 and 2009 will certainly be very good years for her career. No issue in getting in the Top 10 in Star Award. There will also be a promotion in her status in the Mediacorp.

Finding Answer from God

My friend says he is not joining me for lunch as he needs to fast. I am a bit surprised. Later then I realised he is going to pray to seek an answer from his God on an issue. Fasting demonstrates his sincerity.

Out of curiosity I asked another friend who has the same faith in what form will the answer be presented. He told me it could manifest in many ways. Most of the time it is not very clear and probably needs a confirmation again.

One example he shared with me is someone who actually asked this: "God, if I do not receive any promotion within the next 2 years, it is a sign from you that I should not stay on in this organisation as I do not have any prospect here."

That someone waited for 2 years. Then left the company.

I have a concern from a practical side of things. The opportunity cost maybe too huge. Time and tide wait for nobody. I cannot wait for 2 years. I need an answer now. Is there a faster way to seek answer from God? Or should that person has rephrased the question so that the answer comes faster? Can the answer be more obvious?

Back to my friend who has fasted but still could not get a clear-cut answer. I hope I can help him by bringing him to temple to draw a lot but he can't. I know he is lost. I can empathise with him for I was often at the cross-road and many a times I need divine's intervention.

Quite sometime back, I began to read more about seeking answer from God or Heaven. I read, I attend classes, I learned from teachers about this indirect way of communicating to the almighty power. I have picked up this knowledge and has been using it in my daily endeavours. Very handy tool. Often help me or people around me to find a direction. The best thing is I usually take less than a minute to find an answer.

The answers come in any form. I can find them in a passer-by; on an SBS bus; the license plate of the car in front of my taxi; the minutes shown in a digital clock; the hand gestures; the pregnant lady that walks into the restuarant; the surrounding that I am in and oops, the farting sound of the auntie next to me.

Of course there are also more official ways of deriving an answer. King Wen's Divination, Plum Blossom, Zhu Ge Shen Suan, Liu Ren and Ba Zi, just to name a few.

The backbone of all the various divination methods is actually Yi Jing or also known as The Book of Change.

I will share with you some encounters that I have had and some interesting cases that I have heard about. Please share yours with me too.

We are healthy. Why no baby?

I have seen friends that agonised over this issue.

They spent alot of money on doctors, supplements, tests, herbs and aphrodisiacs, but to no avail.

"The Merlion Statue was completed in August 1972. The statues' original location was on a landscaped promontory, at the Merlion Park, on Elizabeth Walk on the river-bank, at the mouth of the Singapore River.

It was officially installed at 8:45 pm on 15 September, 1972, by the then Prime Minister Lee Kwan Yew, on his birthday. Water spouted from its mouth in a smooth downward curve until 1998 when the water pump malfunctioned. The opening of the Esplanade Bridge in 1997 prompted the search for a new home for the Merlion as its distinguished position was now blocked by the bridge. It took two years to hunt for a site that would continue to let visitors enjoy an unobstructed view of the statue.

The new site, Merlion Pier, just off One Fullerton, is 2,500 sq m and four times larger than the old Merlion Park. The relocation and site cost S$7.5 million. Once again, the Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew was the guest of honour for the official launch of the new site which took place on 15 September, 2002, exactly 30 years since it was built."

From the Grapevine...

I recently found out that our government officials are quite fengshui-conscious when it comes to the well-being of our citizens and the future generations.

The first anecdote that I am going to share is about our local hospitals. For your info, I learnt that the land where KK hospital is currently located was actually fengshui-ed (and the building's design too) by a Master to ensure that the babies delivered there will receive the noble, intelligent and healthy energy. That's good as worries about diminishing talent pool in our country will no longer be valid.

When I thought KK is already receiving alot of positive qi, I was surprised to hear that the best hospital to deliver your baby is actually Mt E. Why? According to landform fengshui expert, the hospital is built on Huge Door, a name for such mountain formation. Huge door is a wealth star (mountain). On top of all the positive traits, most importantly, it is also a star that helps to heal. Isn't this what hospitals should be looking for?

I heard from a friend that a doctor in Mt E managed to detect her health condition while another experienced specialist from a government restructured hospital failed to do so.

The caveat here is that, the medical fees are generally much more costly. Unless you are quite affluent, you may not choose to visit the doctors there. This could be also attributed to the fact that the qi there enables the hospital to draw this category of patients.

Now we know why they are high class hospital...

You say M.B.T.I but I use B.A.Z.I

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or otherwise known as MBTI, is an instrument that provides individuals with a powerful understanding of their own and others’ personality preferences. By providing insight into personality differences, you can help people in your organization reduce conflict, improve communication, and ultimately work more effectively together. After more than 50 years, the MBTI instrument continues to be the most trusted and widely used assessment in the world for understanding individual differences and uncovering new ways to work and interact with others. Besides this, I have also been assessed by other personality profiling tool like D.I.S.C model which categorises people into 4 main group namely, the Dominant type, the Influence, the Steady and the Compliance.

Now there is another amazing tool which I often used is known as BAZI or one's Eight Characters based on their time of birth. This method was developed more than 2000 years ago. One probably needs to take about 30 minutes to do up the profiling tests. Frankly, BAZI gives me the convenience of taking no more than 5 minutes to assess one's characteristic including knowing his ambition in life, his passion, desire and even tells me if all these are in congruence. It also categorises people into at least 10 very basic types of characteristic. Seriously, I believe it can go up to hundreds or more!

The best thing about using BAZI is, but not limited to, it will indicate how this person views the people around him using the 10-God analysis in conjunction with the palatial influence. For instance, you will know why he is not happy with his father although he loves him so much. You can also tell what the father's opinion on his son.

Another example will be to look at the stars residing at the various palace to understand their intra and inter palace relationship. Then we will know if we should employ a person by knowing if he is a cunning, loyal, lazy or selfish staff. We also know what is his working attitude. Is he a skiver? Is he a good sales person or is he better off as a backend person.

Last but not least, BAZI has a value-added strength - it can determine the luck of the person. So, for banks, you may not want to hire a fund manager who is about to go into his downluck. Whatever decision he makes is going to cause losses.

So, you can continue to use MBTI but I prefer my BAZI. :)

Oh no, Pimple on my nose!

Yesterday, I woke up to discover this irritating thing on my nose. I know I am going to lose some money. This is a sign from the heaven.

Nose represents the wealth sector in our face. Having acne or pimple on any part of it does not spell good thing. I know that within the next 7 to 14 days, I will need to spend on something that may not be necessary. In worse case, one may misplace his purse, get a fine, lose money on mahjong or involuntarily donate to the stock market.

I think I better quickly go and invest on a big ticket item which I have planned to buy. Meanwhile, I need to take care of my wallet and make sure I check the change if I am paying in big notes.

Once, my friend had 4 pimples on his nose all waiting to be erupted. The following week, I learned that he lost about $50k in the shares he bought.

Arrrgh, I am going to 7 Eleven to buy Oxy 10 now......

Well, many people are against the idea of holding their wedding on this date simply because it falls within the hungry ghost month or the Chinese 7th Lunar month.



So, is this 888 a good day or not? Based on the Tong Shu, this day is being labeled as the "Success" Day. This is the best day amongst the other 12 different types of day under the system of Jian Chu Shi Er Shen (建除十二神).



On Success Day, the energies are positive in all aspects and in fact, it is good to use this day for wedding, marriage proposal, move-in to new house, medical treatment and etc.



If you are not superstitious, you can consider getting married (ROM or Tea ceremony) on this day. I bet you can get a good deal on wedding package and dinner at the hotel since it will be during their lull period.



I must stress that this is only a generic good date to get wed. Painful Journey

Learning and practising the chinese metaphysics such as feng shui and bazi is an uphill task. The journey is very painful, agonising, frustrating and costly. Why? Because :

- the more you learn, the more you found that alot of things you don't know and hence need to know more.
- every master has his own school of thoughts. Thus, it contradicts with what you have learnt previously.
- every master tells you what he teaches is correct.
- almost every master hides some secrets. They only teach you 90%. The rest you have to split your hair to find out the whys.
- the subject is abstract. Need to think in 4 dimensions.
- need to read chinese classical texts or literatures or commentaries which are, most of the times, written in archaic chinese.
- need to pay high fees to top teachers (can do an MBA in an Ivy League university).
- need to pay for travelling and accommodation as the top teachers are based overseas.
- need to sacrifice social time.
- need to cajole your boss to allow you to take leave for courses.
- need to console wife or girlfriend and seek their understanding that you are not able to accompany them for a few days.
- need to verify the theories that you have learnt with lots of real case studies.
- need to have the perseverance if not will have to give up halfway.
- need to take MC and incur medical expenses after the course if it is too heavy and complex. The pace that the master teaches is usually very fast and you need to pay 101% attention.
- high level of analytical skill required which often messes up the wirings in my brain.
- it is a never-ending learning process because there are so many systems in feng shui to learn. It is analogous to a mathematic which not only have E, A, C and F maths but in it you also have to learn algorithm, algebra, applied mechanic, calculus and etc. At the end, you got to put them together.
- besides Feng Shui, in order to be a better consultant, one probably has to also learn about bazi, face reading, I-Ching, date selection and etc. All equally heavy weight subject and all are interlinked. This also translates to more investment.
- emotionally and pyschologically may be affected if you become more skillful in reading your future or anything related to your family.
- low morale when your feng shui does not work.
- angry when you found out your previous teachers did not teach the complete stuff.
- need to explain alot to people about the type of feng shui that I practise is classical vis-a-vis new age type...blah blah blah.
- need to get everybody's buy-in if not will run into the risk of kena ostracised.
- need to always explain that this is a science and not a supersition or religion blah blah blah.

So much sorrows and pains and then why am I still in it? Hmm, simply put, there is a calling.

Luckily, I think I have gone through the ordeal.

There is an immense satisfaction especially the things you predicted came true or you manage to help someone to improve on their quality of life.

I was being helped by feng shui too. If not, I do not think I can be sitting here doing up my blog.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank some of the wonderful teachers and masters who have imparted their precious knowledge to me. Without them, my skill would not have increased by quantum leap within such a short timeframe.

The Secret Mole

In the chinese art of face reading, it is mentioned in one of the classics that if a man has a mole on his reproductive organ, he will have an intelligent and good quality son (or daughter).

So, can I request that those people who have kids that top their PSLE or dean's list or become astronaut and whatsoever, please help me double check if you or your husband has that little black dot on it.
