Well, many people are against the idea of holding their wedding on this date simply because it falls within the hungry ghost month or the Chinese 7th Lunar month.



So, is this 888 a good day or not? Based on the Tong Shu, this day is being labeled as the "Success" Day. This is the best day amongst the other 12 different types of day under the system of Jian Chu Shi Er Shen (建除十二神).



On Success Day, the energies are positive in all aspects and in fact, it is good to use this day for wedding, marriage proposal, move-in to new house, medical treatment and etc.



If you are not superstitious, you can consider getting married (ROM or Tea ceremony) on this day. I bet you can get a good deal on wedding package and dinner at the hotel since it will be during their lull period.



I must stress that this is only a generic good date to get wed. Usually, when come to date selection for a couple, it is imperative to also examine their bazi and their parents' bazi so as to ensure that there is no clashes or unintended consequence. Of course we will also need to help them zoom into an auspicious hour to carry out the activities.
