Ox Baby? Not here yet.

I am not throwing wet blankets onto the elated parents who have just received their newborn babies on the very early morning of 26 January 2009 - the first day of 2009 Chinese Lunar New Year.

Technically speaking, in terms of bazi, those babies are still under the influence of Rat year and not the Golden Moo Moo. So, if you are really keen to have an Ox baby, you should ask your baby to come out only after 4 February 2009.

Why the discrepancy? First of all, for bazi reading and almost all Feng Shui systems, we base it on Solar Calendar instead of Lunar Calendar. 4 February is also known as the Li Chun (立春) of the year.

Out of curiosity, I have decided to plot and compare the bazi charts between the dates 26 January and 4 February for 2009, to see which bazi fares better. - assuming the hour of birth 0000 am (if it is 2359 pm, it will result in a different bazi).

The first bazi shown here is generally for those babies that are born on 26 January 2009, between 0000 to 0059 am.

The bazi here indicates a strong Yin metal baby born into an over protective mother who is not so good for the child to grow up being someone that is able to be independent. Having said that, the baby's relationship with the father will be stronger. From the chart, we can tell that the father is responsible, able to provide for the kid and will definitely establish a much closer bonding as compared to the mother. He should be playing a more active mentoring role for the betterment of his child.

Something that is very prominent (and I do not like) is the fan yin between the month and day pillars in the chart. This indicates an intrinsic relationship issue with the spouse in future. Health wise, got to exercise some self control over eating habit.

What about his or her ability to study? I would say it is not a real issue except that you as a parent need to push a bit harder as he or she tends to procrastinate. Yet this kid tends to get stressed up easily due to his or her combative nature that wants to outshine others. He is also very sensitive of how people perceive him and can get really edgy with trivial stuff. Very face-conscious too.

The other chart here depicts a leader in making. Someone that is thoughtful, resourceful, discipline and good in sports. Deep inside the kid, he/she is a rebel who is not so happy with alot of things surrounding him - very sceptical but will want to change for the better. If this person is your boss, I will suggest that you talk with tact and try to cut the craps when you present your case to him or her. His/her temper may not be so good. So, go straight to the point and do not be long winded. If not, be prepared to be snapped at.

This person will, however, in future marry a supportive spouse who is caring, motherly and who will take care of the family. This is really important especially for someone who is very capable in climbing the corporate ladder.

If this is a lady bazi, she will also grow up to be very shapely.

So, do you go for the first type of chart or the latter if you wish to pick a date for C-Section birth?

It really again depends on what you want.

PS: To be fair, I would still need to factor in the luck cycles. Nevertheless, if your baby is going to arrive on 4 February 09, I must congratulate you as he or she definitely has a very good headstart in life.

Astro Forecast for 2009

If you ask me about what comes to my mind about 2009, I would see that it is an image of quick sand.
In terms of 5 elements, 2009 is an Earth Ox and not the Golden Moo-moo. The heavenly stem is yin earth and earthly branch is also a yin earth. Earth stacking on earth. Alot of things are buried very deeply. Or rather, alot of things are sinking into a bottomless pit.
For those who know some basic bazi, the Earthly branch, Chou, contains hidden stems of Gui water and Xin metal. To the Heavenly stem, Ji, water is the indirect wealth star. Chou is also known as the graveyard of water.
If I cast a divination about the outlook for 2009, I see that the indirect wealth for 2009 will enter graveyard. It is not a good sign because we do not like things to enter graveyard which usually associates with death. Any thing with regard to business investment and speculative trades will be hit. So, be careful again in your stocks and shares speculation. In addition, water related industry like logistic, shipping and transportation will also go downhill.
On the other hand, indirect wealth star also refers to father. Do spend more time with him if he is of old age or bring him see a doctor quickly if he is unwell.
As the 5 Elements Classic goes: "Too much earth buries the metal." So, metal related industry will not perform well too. Metal also refers to jewelleries, gems, finance and banking. Metal governs altruism. There will be enormous pressure on the justice and legal field, law enforcers; and do expect betrayals and unethical behaviours to be more prevalent between friends and partners.
Metal is also the output star of earth. It usually implies offspring. So, children will suffer stress, depression and health issues. It is not a favourable year for the youngest male child in the house. Why? Because in terms of flying star, Star 3 (wood) flies to North East (Gen Palace which represents youngest male) of the house, where Chou branch resides. It is a scenario of youngest child under attacked according to the flying star classics.
2009 is a year of stagnation, alot of uncertainties and under-currents. Do not be fooled. Alot of things are superficial. The quick sand effect will come after the month of May. So, becareful of where you stepping.
Stay on to your job and do not go into unchartered territories. Be very conservative in your decision.

Peach Blossom - The Flower of Romance

70% of my clients are ladies. I think it has got to do with the peach blossom stars in my bazi.

Out of the 70%, almost everyone asked about their peach blossom luck. When they will meet their Mr Right? Rich or not? Love me or not? Handsome or not?

I can tell you that it is very challenging to answer the questions. Not because I do not know how to read those things in the bazi chart, but very often, I need to know how to package my answer so that I will not disappoint them - should the answer comes out to be not-so-optimistic.

I have alot of repeat lady customers asking me out for dinner whenever they meet someone or have a new boyfriend. They will try to bring the birth data so that I can analyse their potential soul mate. Sometimes, when I read the boyfriend chart, I will tell them that this is unlikely to be the man of your life.

How do I tell? Very simple. From the moment you came to this world, heaven has at the same time assigned the type of husband(s) that you are going to marry. The info has all been written in the lady's chart. I just need to compare it with her current boyfriend's chart to see if they match. If they don't, I will have recurring consult fee again.

For those lady customers that are not attached, I am often requested to undertake the sacred role of Cupid. I do not shoot arrows. But I am paid to activate the romance sector of their house so that they can quickly find a good guy to marry off.

[Warning: The activation requires a matching of the lady's bazi. So, please do not activate any corner of your house without the guidance of a feng shui master. You may create havoc in the house if you accidentally trigger your dad's romance luck instead - even though he is 68.]

Before I embark on this very noble job (I think it is noble because I am helping the government to up the pro-creation rate) I always tell my clients that I can only help them create an opportunity (eg, one of them was approached by a guy, i think first time in her life, during her trip to the hair salon). But, I cannot guarantee the quality of the guy that is soon going to enter their life.

Anyway, ladies, don't grumble and complain about your husband if he does not turn out to be your dream guy. You can only blame yourself or maybe your Gynae for bringing you to this world at the wrong hour.

Pi Xiu and Feng Shui Ornaments

I am not sure after I write this, I will be assassinated by some Feng Shui masters and Feng Shui Salesmen.

But if I do not bring this up, then I feel I have let myself down.

Anyway, I do not care since I have the backing of some big guys known as classical feng shui who has been around since more than 2000 years ago.

I just want to air my views. Will I be sued for defamation? Hey, we got freedom of speech ok.

I don't think the Pixiu or Dragon Tortoise that are mass produced in China factories will gang up against me right? Maybe they do possess some mighty power that will cripple my ability to type. I am not sure because so many people seem to be buying them for protection, avoid misfortune, get quick bucks and even up their IQ.

If so many people are doing it, then there must be some truth right? Or is it the Placebo Effect? Or is it just blind faith?

Legally, omission of fact is a misrepresentation. I might be sued by my readers for not sharing this piece of info and end up, they incur expenses, do not receive their desired results and thus, suffer emotionally, physically and financially.

So, what is the thing that I am driving at?

You see, feng shui or astrology study is associated with the constellations in the universe, the solar system, the movement of planets, the cosmic energy, the energy from our surrounding, the qi emit from mountain ranges, the natural forces and etc.

For example, annual afflictions like the Tai Sui (Grand Duke), San Sha, 5 Yellow and Sui Po are energies derived from planetary movement. You think by putting a plastic or copper item that is of the size of a palm can easily dissolve the negative energy? One must be kidding.

And you think by putting a money sucking static plastic ornament that stands on 3 legs can really create wealth over a few weeks time? If you really wish to activate the wealth energy in a particular sector, you need something that creates movement to stimulate the qi. So, just move your fan to that corner. Totally FOC and result is fast. Alternatively, put a little fish tank with some cheap guppies and that will do the job. How much? Less than $10.

I sympathise people who spend $1,000 on feng shui service for their HDB flat or apartment and then another $3,000 on ornaments. Hey, your common sense will tell you the amount of money incur is not apportioned justifiably. But as a layman, you have to listen to your master because he or she has already successfully capitalise on your fear factor.

I am sure below sentences sound familiar to you:

"...buy this dragon, so that you can strike lottery..."

"....put this Pagoda here, so that your son can excel in PSLE...."

I do not blame them because some of them spend alot on advertisement on the media, their overheads and staff cost. If they do not sell such items on top of their services, they will find it hard to breakeven every month.

But I just feel that this is not orthodox. They are giving feng shui a bad name by doing this.

Real feng shui talks about using qi to heal qi. It is subtle. It does not require you to renovate your house into a chinese temple.

So, when my friend happily told me that her whole family bought a few Pixius at $100 each in Taiwan and asked for my opinion, I could only smile.

G-Spot

Many people always like to ask and then give their own opinion of "What is Feng Shui?".

Almost every masters or master-wannabes also like to give their views and put up an article to answer this question. So many varieties of explanations. After a while, I get so bored.

Yawn.

Anyway, let me try to be different. I would like to liken this with something sensitive - literally.

Feng Shui is not obvious, you cannot see it and yet it exists. When you activate the correct spot, you see fast results. It will definitely make you delighted.

Doesn't this sound like the G-Spot?

No offence. Just for laugh.

Zodiac Forecast - less than 12.5% accurate

Don't ask me to buy all those books that talk about or predict the annual luck for each animal sign.

And please do not ask me what will happen to ox's career, pig's wealth or snake's romance in 2009. If you ask me, I will the most patronise you by saying ox will continue to plough the field, pig will continue to fill up the piggy's bank and snake will find a nest and co-habitate with rat.

If you are serious to know what actually will happen to you or your love ones in 2009, then make an appointment with me, give me your birth certificate, invest one hour and some money on me so that we can sit down and discuss in details on your bazi (8 characters) over coffee.

By doing this, you can stop being over paranoid when the astrology forecast says that your boyfriend this year will meet another new girl and elope with her.

I am not joking! Animal sign is only one out of the 8 characters (bazi) and it is located at the bottom right of the chart (see picture). Over here indicates a person that is born in the year of rat.

And if it is only one-eighth, then logically speaking, if you only zoom into the zodiac sign, it only at best tells you one-eighth about a rat person.

And I think it is not even one-eighth accurate because you need to read this against the whole chart as plotted out. Then you need to determine if this rat (earthly branch) is a positive or negative star and how does it react to the year that comes into play on top of the luck cycle that you are currently going through.

If you have already bought a astrology forecast book, I hope this does not come as a wet blanket. I am just sharing my views. I believe the book still has its value - at least it creates some hopes for people with certain animal signs.

We need hopes in life what! That is what propels us to live on. Isn't it?

PS:

Please also do not tell me that rabbit people love carrots, are amicable and polite. I have seen rabbits that are cunning, violent and vulgar. I believe you have seen them around too.
